Which cookies ATLASHOME sets, what they are for and how to opt out.

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They are not programs: they run nothing on your device and carry no malicious code.
Your browser sends the cookie back on every following request, which is how a site recognises the same visitor and remembers their choices.
The portal works without registration, but it still has to remember a few things: interface language, currency, the fact that you are signed in. All of that lives in cookies.
We do not use cookies to establish your identity and do not combine them with data you have not given us.
Essential — required for the site to work: the sign-in session and form protection against forged requests. Without them you cannot sign in or send an enquiry. They need no consent: without them there is no service to speak of.
Your choice of language and currency — written at the moment you make that choice in the switcher. That is your own action being carried out, so we do not ask about it separately.
Optional — recently viewed locations in the header menu and anonymised visit statistics (which pages are opened, where a search breaks off). These are set ONLY with your consent and erased if you withdraw it.
By lifetime, cookies are either session cookies (erased when the browser closes) or persistent ones (kept for a set period, usually up to a year).
Some page content is served by external services — maps, video, social widgets, analytics. They may set their own cookies governed by their own rules.
We neither read nor control those cookies. What they collect is described in the policies of the respective services.
Cookies can be disabled and deleted in your browser settings; your browser help explains how.
Note that without functional cookies your language and currency will reset on every page, and without essential ones you will not be able to sign in.
On your first visit we ask for consent with a card at the bottom of the screen. Until you answer, no optional cookies are written — you are free to keep using the portal without answering at all.
Your answer is kept for a year (a refusal, for six months) and can be changed at any time: the “Cookies” link in the footer reopens the same question. Withdrawing consent does not merely stop new writes — it erases what was already stored.
